Palladiana flooring is a re-interpretation of the typical Ancient Roman Opus incertum construction technique. It became widespread during the 16th century thanks to the architect Andrea Palladio. Palladiana flooring uses irregular-shaped stone tiles, generally no wider than 5-7 cm and 1 cm thick.
